Currently based in San Antonio, Texas, John Bonilla (BoNeAh) studied Photography at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City and specializes in Portrait, Commercial, Interior and Event Photography. He creates stunning images whether working on a model composite card or promotion piece. Bonilla's work has been described as "classical and painterly with an emphasis on contrast, color and composition" to create a compelling image. It's also about capturing the moment and anticipation, as evidenced in Bonilla's photo galleries on his web site, www.johnbonilla.com.
John Bonilla's path into photography started by way of working in footwear at New York City's Bergdorf Goodman, Barney's and Paul Stuart. While there, Bonilla studied shoe and leather design and had the opportunity of working with some top designers and stylists in helping them accessorize their collections and commercial projects. After leaving the footwear business, Bonilla began studying Photography at SVA and becoming very adept at Portraiture.
"It was my documentary work that drove me. It led to editorial assignments covering the NBA for the Associated Press and doing photo essays on noted tattoo artists Guy Aitchison and LA Ink's Kim Saigh that were featured in International Tattoo Art Magazine. That evolved into me photographing a calendar for Anil Gupta (published by United Media/Golden Turtle Press) and my work being featured on the inside cover of Rolling Stone's Tattoo Nation book", said Bonilla.
John Bonilla is available for a wide range of photography services including Commercial, Interior, Portrait, Events and Editorial assignments. He works on location and in the studio based upon the assignment. Considering the project and location, stylists, hair and make-up artists can be incorporated into the assignment.
Being an adept Photo Retoucher, most of Bonilla's assignments incorporate taking any flaws out of the subject to render a perfect image. All images are color and exposure corrected and ensure you will be receiving a high quality image whether it be for a print or on the web. He is also very capable at Photo Restoration and re-creating old images that may be ripped, wrinkled or discolored into images that are fresh and appear as new.
The studio also offers a wide range of High Quality Gallery Presentation Products, which are featured in the Gallery Products' section, @ www.johnbonilla.com/gallery-list, and include Collages, Gallery Wraps, Gallery Mats, Customized Image Boxes, Customized Cards, CDs and Bookmarks.
Based upon the project, pricing is based on an hourly rate or flat fee and with a Commercial project, images can be licensed for their intended usage.
